Cristina"Tenny"Manalo,the widow of Iglesia ni Cristo former executive minister Eraño "Erdy" Manalo,and their son,Felix Nathaniel "Angel," released a video appealing for help from the members say their lives are in danger.
Just a few hours after the video went viral on social media,the two are expelled from the church.
INC general evangelist Bienvenido Santiago announced that there is no truth to their claims and that Angel and his mother Tenny Manalo are just
trying to gain sympathy from the church's members to seize power.
Several ministers and two siblings of Angel were also expelled from the church.
The expulsion is supported by his older brother and current leader of the church Eduardo Manalo.
According to some reports, the controversy is caused by the corruption inside the church.
In the video a recorded voice of Tenny exposed that there are ministers who had been kidnapped and she also wants to talk to his son Eduardo.
